A day in the life – May 31st (cross)

I spent most of my day at church doing various tasks. Almost all afternoon I was sorting out music for a rehearsal in the evening. I found this really annoying, as when I’m playing alone I don’t need music, or even a plan of what I’m going to play. The involvement of others who did need these things seemed like a waste of time, especially as it was a laborious process. Is this the way of the cross?

Tonight I ate too much. If not eaten much all day, so was ignoring the stop signals my body was sending me, thinking, “It’s fine, my stomach’s just unravelling.” Sometimes, the solution to over-eating is copious dessert. Unfortunately, today was not one of those days. That cherry pie and vanilla yoghurt were best outside my belly, and inside the fridge.
