Today started with the slightly squeamish moment where you realise you’ve picked up someone else’s notebook. Suffice to say I’m now aware of all Jill’s secrets I’ve ever wanted to know, and far more that are better off under wraps. For the sake of our national security, I’ll take them to the grave.
It is with deep regret that I dethroned my zebra-green striped bag, which has served me since Sixth Form. This was not a decision I took lightly, but two huge rips are emerging in the bottom, which could cause disastrous outflow when fully opened. TK Maxx served me admirably once again, and I’m now the proud owner of a blue and yellow rucksack. It’s primary colours for a reason, to keep my thought processes simple. Old Zebry is looking and feeling rather deflated and rejected, but tough life decisions have to be made.
Wandered around town with Sam after lunch. We went back into TK Maxx, and I found a perfect t-shirt, but decided I had enough. Then got lost in deep, spiritual conversation about Naruto and Pokemon Go in The Cabin. Read a bit of Luke after I got home, then headed off for a BBQ. I can’t understand why people insist on hearing completely unintentional sexual innuendos in all I say. On the car journey home, we encouraged Steph to be a strong, independent, white woman in the workplace.
