Recently found my morning Chi Kung essential as a start to the day, especially as I’m busy with work. It often feels like you don’t have the energy to do things, but after proving that you can physically, it grants mental strength, or belief, as well. Towards the end of work, was craving to make coffee, not to drink, but to experience the process.
Afterwards, headed up to Mike and Nadine’s, where I acquired a chick pea burger, which was a welcome snack. Then Sarah drove us to watch The Hitman’s Bodyguard. I don’t think anyone has ever used a script, sixty percent of which was a single expletive, to such great effect as Samuel L Jackson. At home, resumed submerging my hands in soapy water to wash up, and also spent fifteen minutes belatedly adding ginger to a curry I made yesterday. Will it taste nice? Maybe.
When I’m busy it’s obviously hard to find time for recreation, and most importantly time with Holyspirit. But often it isn’t our circumstances that need to change, but our perspective, because Jesus is certainly there, no matter how distant he may feel. Psalm 94 says,
When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
Your unfailing love, LORD, supported me.
