September 13th (the chocolate assumption)

The inexorable cycle of cleaning continued; obviously I didn’t suffer enough yesterday. Listened to Heat of your Gaze by Jon Thurlow. Only listened twice but already a favourite worship album. I love how he leads from piano, very relaxing, and most importantly, jazzy.

After a few hours volunteering at church, which involved the obligatory and totally unnecessary sugary snacks, rekindled the extended Wednesday afternoon Costa trip. A mixture of reading, dozing, avoiding stares from locals outside, and taking quizzes to find out which Naruto character I’m most similar to; Sasuke, absolutely ruthless.

Had tea at the Simms’, where I yet again fell victim to the assumption that everyone loves chocolate. I spent five minutes painstakingly removing the thin layer from my strawberry cornetto, only to find the cone’s interior was laced with the devil’s cocoa. Such utter heartbreak, but there were cookies for consolation.
