September 23rd (baptism of fire)

It was the big one today, the first time I’ve ever worked a full Saturday in the kitchen at The Cabin. In a dramatic move of prayer, I’ve asked Jesus a few times in the past week for it to be nice, but it was totally brutal. I never thought I would beg for a Mexican chicken order to come through, but this was the first of many unbelievable wishes to ascend from my soul. Very grateful there was a party later, and a new team to help set down.
I don’t know why, but I’m very intrigued by autumn leaves in the last few days. Taken a few photos, which seem more artistic in the moment than they are upon reflection. Maybe it’s prophetic, the environment speaking into my life. Waiting for an unexpected rebirth, phoenix style.
